After the successful launch of SIMA Business Boot Camp in February, SIMA is hosting a new Boot Camp with an environmental twist – the SIMA Green Boot Camp. The date of the event is set for Earth Day, Wednesday April 22nd, 2008, and will be held at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, California. The deadline to sign up is by the end of today!

“I can’t think of a more fitting time than Earth Day 2008 to discuss what our ocean-based industry can do to save the environment,” said Dick Baker, president of SIMA. “So many people in our industry want their company to be environmentally friendly but don’t know how to develop a cost effective and realistic plan to become a ‘green’ company. This Boot Camp will be a great resource to help companies either begin or progress on an environmentally focused track.”

SIMA Green Boot Camp will be a half-day event from 12pm until 4pm and is the third in a series of educational seminars to be held regularly throughout the year. The goal of SIMA Boot Camps is to reach a variety of employees and departments within SIMA member companies and provide valuable tips and tools to help them improve a variety of daily business operations.
