The Quiksilver Revolution 2.0 surf, skate and musical extravaganza taking place at Sunway Lagoon, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday (Friday night 11pm PST), is proud to announce it will be “webcasting” the one-day event live to the world! The Quiksilver Revolution 2.0 is a free event designed to give people a unique opportunity to participate and experience the boardriding lifestyle.
Utilizing the same technology that has seen Quiksilver pioneer the delivery of live surfing and skateboarding action from some of the world’s most remote locations to the homes of hundreds and thousands of fans, the live webcast means anyone, anyone who has access to the internet will be able to visit the Quiksilver site and see the Quiksilver Revolution in full swing, just as if they were watching TV.
From 3pm local-time (2am EST/11pm PST), cameras positioned above, below, around, and in the surf-pool at Sunway Lagoon’s theme park will beam images of professional surfers Ry Craike, Troy Brooks, Josh Kerr, Dylan Graves and Wayan ‘Betet’ Merta as they give a futuristic surfing demonstration. They will be joined by professional skateboarders Sascha Mueller, Renton Millar, Jocke’ Olsen, Jurgen Howarth and Trevor Ward who will entertain an estimated 40,000 local fans and limitless fans viewing online on a special vert ramp imported from Australia.
“It’s an incredibly exciting concept,” explained Mr. Ronald Soh, Director of Sponsorship and Events at Sunway Lagoon. “Quiksilver is the only company to have implemented this sort of technology here at Sunway. To know the Quiksilver Revolution 2.0 is accessible to someone logging on from their computer in the heart of the city, or from another country all together is staggering.”
A full schedule of the day’s events can be found on the Quiksilver site on the live webcast page.
Get online, register and send a message to the Quiksilver Revolution 2.0 and it may even be replied to live! A television newsfeed will be made available following the event.
