Roster Includes Athletes from Australia, Canada, Norway, South Africa and the United States

Former Olympians, a big-wave surfing champion, a pair of brothers, world champion skateboarders and snowboarders, a three-time cancer survivor, a teen surfing phenom, team managers and up-and-coming amateurs: that is a sampling of the folks that comprise the field for the first-ever Ultimate Boarder competition. The only event of its kind in the United States, Ultimate Boarder is a one-week competition to find the first athlete who can conquer the art of surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding. Held from April 13-19, 2008, Ultimate Boarder gives unknown riders a chance to shine alongside the pros. The champion will not only win the first-ever title, but a hefty first place prize of $30,000.

“I’m honored to have such a unique blend of action sports pros and amateurs representing this inaugural event,” said Founder & CEO Tim Hoover. “The response from the athletes has been amazing and I can’t wait to see all of them vying for the title.”
