Electric Visual has announced it is partnering with project BLUE, the national initiative established to raise more than $1 million in support of ocean and beach protection, by exclusively providing eyewear to raise money for the campaign.

By supporting project BLUE, manufacturers, retailers and consumers can make a meaningful contribution to the Surfrider Foundation in their efforts to protect our precious coastal resources.”
As the official eyewear partner, Electric will offer two of its most popular frame styles updated and customized specifically for project BLUE. Both the ECDC/XL and K.O. styles will be available in a gloss black frame with grey polarized lens as well as a tortoise frame with a bronze polarized lens. Each will come with custom artwork on the inside arm, a removable static sticker on the lens itself, and an official hangtag identifiying it as an official Project Blue style.
“We’re excited to have Electric join the project BLUE initiative,” said project BLUE Founder Vipe Desai. “Their team has a passion for developing great products like the ECDC/XL and the K.O. and now these two products, when sold, will help to protect our coastlines.”
Set to launch in stores in Summer 2007, the sunglasses will be distributed through current Electric Visual retailers as well as special project BLUE outlets and events. 2€ from the sale of each piece will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation.
