Finisterre’s new and improved Etobicoke is back

Last year Finisterre launched the Etobicoke, their first ever ribbed synthetic insulation piece. Made from recycled polyester with a light and warm fill, it was designed to keep the cold out, generate phenomenal amounts of heat and pack away into a pocket, making it an easy travelling companion. It quickly became the best selling garment in Finisterre’s product history. This year it’s back with a couple of subtle refinements, like a stiffened collar and draw cord along the hem to customize the fit around the waist.

“We started this company six years ago, designing product as honestly and as functionally as possible. We’re still small, but to see guys and girls around the globe wearing our product, pursuing individual passions is simply amazing,” said Ernest Capbert, Finisterre’s marketing director.

The Etobicoke has kept top ten big wave surfer and Finisterre Ambassador Carlos Burle safe and warm from the North Californian chill at Mavericks big wave spot. It has also been a trusted companion to convicted surf photographer and Finisterre Ambassador Al Mackinnon, during deep winter search trips to the Outer Hebrides. And the latest is that Jersey charger and nomad Ian Battrick can’t take the piece off when scoping out remote and undiscovered spots, be it Iceland, Norway or Scotland.
